About me
My name is Clara Strubakis, and I was born in Vienna in 1989. In my practice, I offer psychotherapy in German and English.
As a psychotherapist in advanced training under supervision, I am currently in the final stage of my training as a systemic family therapist. My therapeutic work is regularly supervised by experienced clinical supervisors, ensuring a professional and reflective therapeutic process. I am completing my training at the Institute for Systemic Family Therapy (now the Society for Systemic Therapy)
I chose the profession of psychotherapy out of a deep desire to support people and encourage them to embrace life with greater courage and confidence.

Maybe you are standing in front of this door right now, hesitating. It may feel as if the key is buried under worries or fears.
I do not see my role as breaking down this door for you or telling you how to live on the other side of it. I can only support you with questions and impulses along the way. Finding the key and stepping through that door remain entirely your own path.
In my practice, we create a space together where it feels safe enough to take the door handle in your hand. I accompany you with warmth, genuine appreciation, and the belief that you already carry within you everything you need for your journey. The goal of therapy is a self-determined life. Once you have reached this goal, our paths will part again. My role is above all to support you for as long as necessary and for as briefly as possible.
Clinical Experience & Training
Internships
- Hospital of the Brothers of St. John of God Eisenstadt: Clinical internship at the psychiatric day clinic.
- Ambulatory Systemic Therapy (AST): 2 years of psychosocial internship in an outpatient setting (Vienna).
- Grow Together Family support: 2 years of intensive support for families in challenging life situations.
Education
- Systemic family therapy specialization (Fachspezifikum) (LASF)*
- Foundational training in psychotherapy (Propaedeutic phase) (ÖGWG Wien)
- Kindergardenteacher (Sacré-coeur Pressbaum)
*I am currently in the status of psychotherapist in advanced training under supervision. This means that I am in the final stage of my training, and my work is regularly and anonymously supervised by experienced clinical supervisors. At this stage, reimbursement from statutory health insurance is currently not possible.
